The murder trial of a Ladysmith man who is charged with killing a man almost thirty years ago has been moved to Polk County after defense attorneys argued that the trial should be moved because of pre-trial publicity. Rusk County Court Judge Frederick Henderson delayed the swearing in of the 14-member jury selected Monday to move the trial of 55-year-old Harry "John" Rogers. He is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the ambush-style shooting death of college student Robert Pfeil in 1979. Rogers originally pleaded no contest in 2006 to the charge, but the judge allowed Rogers to change his plea in November. The date for the new trial is expected to be decided during a hearing July 29th.
